这种双功能Cy5生物素缀合物显示出优异的抗生物素结合和强荧光。它具有与天然生物素相似的抗生物素结合特性,在高亲和力、快速结合以及与抗生物素和链霉亲和素四聚体的非协同结合方面。Cy5生物素可用于检测和定量抗生物素、链霉抗生物素或中微体抗生物素的生物素结合位点。该试剂克服了常用的生物素-4-荧光素的主要缺点,例如在水性介质中的溶解度差以及pH依赖性的吸收和发射。Cy5生物素是一种水溶性试剂,其红色荧光不依赖于pH 4至pH 10。生物素部分和荧光标记之间的柔性PEG间隔物将与抗生物素、链霉抗生物素或中性抗生物素结合所涉及的空间位阻降至最低。
